Lessons are available 7 days a week at a time to suit you best.

Group Coaching

This is a fantastic and affordable way to learn the game. Structured lessons in 6 week blocks covering all the essentials of the game. The classes run from beginner-improver-advanced a total of 18 1 hour sessions.

Junior Development

The GA Academy was awarded Higher level Starter center status in 2009. The Team was crowned champions in Dyfed 2010 and 3rd in Wales overall. We currently have 60 Junior members and a further 40 involved in Academy coaching on Saturdays. We run six groups of varying ages and we have an all girls group at 12.30 on a Saturday afternoon. All our coaches are CRB checked and we have a strict child protection policy.

About: Mike Davies Head Golf Professional

Glyn Abbey Golf Club's Head Golf Professional is Mike Davies. Mike was previously Head Teaching Professional at Bowood Golf Club in Wiltshire and Head Professional at Alice Springs Golf Club before joining Glyn Abbey in April 2009.

Mike has invested heavily in his own Professional development and following his qualification as an Advanced Personal Trainer in 2006 has gone on to coach golf conditioning to numerous playing Professionals and Internationals and completed his golf conditioning manual which he has delivered to both Gwent and Glamorgans first 16.

In 2005 Mike completed his NLP Qualification and became a certified Practitioner, recognised by the BBNLP and ABNLP. Mike used his new skills in a golf capacity in writing an NLP golf seminar ' Realising your potential'  which he has delivered to the Wiltshire county in 2006

Mike's unique qualifications and 14 year coaching experience make him a truely holistic golfing coach. Mike coaches complete beginners through to touring professionals, juniors through to seniors and everything in between!
