We are a very progressive club and pride ourselves on putting enjoyment first and foremost - for all our customers. We offer a relaxed and informal atmosphere with friendly staff and the warmest welcome anywhere. The Committee are highly approachable and dedicated to offering you enjoyable competitive golf and numerous social occasions.
Spouses and partners are most welcome at all times, as indeed are friends and business colleagues. We have a beautifully appointed quiet upstairs Abbey's Lounge, furnished with leather and oak, with panoramic views across the Course and the Gwendraeth valley. The perfect place to relax with lunch or a drink.
For dining, we have our new 60 seater Capers restaurant looked after by Head Chef Carol, though if you prefer a snack in the bar or lunch upstairs, this is always available. Members enjoy discounted bar prices and are able to book the restaurant or lounge for functions and parties.
We don't keep the clubhouse and the Professional shop separate, we are all one club! Mike Davies and his team of 3 have a quality shop contained within the main Clubhouse so they are totally accessible at all times. You can sit in the bar with a drink and get up and ask the Professional that difficult rules question you've been arguing over for the last half hour! Ask him about that bad shot though, and you'll be booking a lesson!
Membership at Glyn Abbey is truly inexpensive, but we prefer to say simply "outstanding value for money".
