The golf course is located on the
southern slope of the Gwendraeth valley and set amist a woodland
area with tremendous views in all directions. An extensive tree
planting program took place throughout the course which is
characterised by its wide undulating fairways.
The 18 hole par 70 course is 6202 yards in length and has been built
to international standards. There
are some tremendous holes to test even the lowest handicap golfer.
Each hole has its own character and requires considerable thought.
Taking the woodland walk between the 10th green and 11th tee allows you to take-in the natural environment in which Glyn Abbey is located. With a wide variety of tree and plant species, plus an array of birds and wildlife, this short walk is an ecologist’s idyll and a golfers chance to forget the poor shots and concentrate on the positive.
